versatile, with a knack of spontaneity and air of
improvisation.” - Hollywood Starshine
“Sparkling! Imbued with the vitality of Sholom Aleichem’s
writings and, to use a phrase from the show ‘the ship is coming
in’ for Evelyn Rudie and Chris DeCarlo, with sold-out houses at
every performance and storming applause for every rendition…the
Playhouse now has introduced a new generation of theater
enthusiasts to the patina-covered world of their brethren on
both sides of the ocean, to a world that is no more and will
never return. Ben Weisman’s enchanting music fits like a glove.”
- B’nai B’rith Messenger
“Chris DeCarlo portrays the Yiddish story teller with such
warmth and humor that one actually thinks he is Sholom
