| Yiddish She-Devils are back in Nicole Berger’s reinterpretation of medieval Jewish folktales and legends as comedic morality plays, incorporating live Klezmer music and belly dancing to examine she-devils from the underworld who unintentionally create scandal in the Shtetl. Set in the context of a Yiddish Radio hour from the 1940s, these two one acts, that had a sneak preview in January at Santa Monica Playhouse as part of the Playhouse Benefit Series, return to The Other Space for a six week run. | |
