Baccalaureate: A Story with Jokes and Espionage

When Saurabh Kikani was 16 years old, he was invited to spend the summer at Oxford University with the top honors students from all around the world - you know...nerds. Completely shy and awkward, his life is changed after a viewing of the Tom Cruise film Mission:Impossible, inspiring him and his straight-laced friends to pull off the heist of their lives - break curfew at the Oxford dorms, skip classes, and spend a day in Paris. This is a solo show with jokes and espionage.

A Terrible Show for Terrible People

A Terrible Show for Terrible People is a raunchy and rambunctious, non-verbal solo clown performance that is both boner- and vomit-inducing. Physical comedian Bonnie He takes the audience through a voyeuristic window into personal tragedy, triumph, and titillation. Mostly titillation. Hehe. TIT-illation. You’re not just watching a #TerribleShow - you’re participating in the destruction of common decency.

around the world

Around the World is a fast paced character-driven “news show”. A mutant mix of The Daily Show and Tracey Ullman, where Ambika, news anchor, interviews live a series of guests in a video screen (all played by Ambika) which reflect her experience growing up literally all over the world. It’s funny, it’s weird, it’s timely, and it gets you back home in 45 minutes!

a hand in freedom

A story of surviving a refugee camp, disability and other shadows to climb. Freedom becomes personal when Steve Lee fights to put his life of a Chinese refugee born disabled into action in America.
Steve Lee is a Chinese American Disabled Stand-Up Comedian working in America. As an immigrant from Hong Kong, his comedy is centered around his experiences in both continents dealing with racism and living with disabilities.

pretty beast

A Japanese tomboy, Kazu, moves to America in her 30s to become a comedy star, but the sexism she faces casts her in the Geisha mold. She becomes a stand-up comedian to change the perception of Asian women. Humor is mightier than the sword. Can it liberate her? Kazu Kusano is brutal and shatters the stereotype of the demure Japanese woman. Kazu moves like a child in a playground, and her silly, yet dark comedy makes everything laughable, from relationships to sexism, and even Nagasaki.
